On Monday, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar engaged in separate phone conversations with his Togolese counterpart, Robert Dussey, and the Beninese Foreign Minister, Olushegun Bakari, as part of efforts to strengthen Israel’s partnerships with Togo and Benin.
During his discussion with Minister Dussey, the two diplomats explored ways to enhance bilateral relations between Israel and Togo, reaffirming the strong ties between their nations.
In his call with Minister Bakari, Saar addressed the ongoing process of hostage releases, a critical humanitarian issue. He also extended condolences on behalf of the Israeli government following the recent terrorist attack in Benin, expressing solidarity with the Beninese people during this difficult time.
