Vision Bank, the Islamic bank headquartered in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and wholly owned by GII Group, has announced the launch of a new SME financing proposition, marking a significant milestone in the Bank's strategy to support modern businesses with solutions tailored to how companies operate, trade and grow.

The offering will focus on short-term SME trade finance for eligible businesses, designed specifically to support cross-border trade flows.

Rather than relying on a traditional branch-led model, Vision Bank will originate this financing through a multi-channel approach anchored in platform partnerships, allowing it to identify SME financing opportunities across its target markets more efficiently and at scale.

Backed by a leading Shari'ah-compliant asset manager

Vision Bank is founded and wholly owned by GII Group, a leading Shari'ah-compliant alternative asset manager established in 2014 and headquartered in the UAE, with additional offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.

GII manages more than US$3 billion in assets across private equity, real estate, private credit and other strategies, serving sovereign institutions, financial institutions and family offices across the GCC and internationally.

Through its ownership structure, GII provides Vision Bank with shareholder capital, board representation, and access to the Group's broader investment, structuring and Shari'ah expertise, resources the Bank says will underpin its ability to scale the new SME proposition responsibly while remaining true to its Islamic finance principles.

The launch reflects a broader push among regional Islamic banks to close financing gaps for small and medium-sized enterprises, particularly those engaged in trade across borders, a segment often underserved by conventional banking channels.
