Trump: “Netanyahu might visit next week”

President Donald Trump revealed on Thursday that he had a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and suggested that the Israeli leader could visit the United States as early as next week.

President Donald Trump revealed on Thursday that he had a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and suggested that the Israeli leader could visit the United States as early as next week.

Speaking briefly to reporters, Trump did not elaborate on the content of their discussion but noted, “I had a very good call with Prime Minister Netanyahu. He might come to the U.S. next week — we’ll see.”

The potential visit comes at a time of heightened tensions in the Middle East.

Trump has maintained close ties with Netanyahu over the years and has often expressed strong support for Israel.
