The United Arab Emirates is participating in the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), held in Davos from 19 to 23 January 2026.
The UAE delegation includes more than 100 ministers, senior government officials, and leaders from major private sector companies.
This strong presence reflects the country’s long-standing and consistent engagement with the forum, which has become one of the world’s most influential platforms for dialogue on global economic and development challenges.
Founded in 1971, the World Economic Forum is an independent international organization that brings together political leaders, business executives, academics, and civil society representatives.
Its annual meeting in Davos is best known for fostering high-level discussions on global economic trends, geopolitics, climate change, technology, energy transition, and social inclusion.
While the forum does not take binding decisions, it plays a key role in shaping global agendas, building consensus, and encouraging cooperation between public and private actors.
The UAE’s participation at Davos 2026 underscores its growing role as a global partner committed to multilateral cooperation. Through its engagement, the country seeks to contribute to discussions on inclusive growth, innovation, sustainability, and long-term economic resilience.
