Major General Staff Saleh Mohammed bin Mejren Al Ameri, Commander of the UAE's National Guard, visited Jordan's Gendarmerie and Civil Defence forces as part of his official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom.
During the visit, Al Ameri reviewed the duties and responsibilities of both forces, their operational capabilities and equipment, as well as their training and qualification programmes.
In the presence of Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Obeidallah Maaytah, he attended a field demonstration by PSD units featuring several practical scenarios and exercises.
Al Ameri praised the units' professionalism, efficiency and readiness, highlighting their advanced capabilities and training programmes, which support faster and more effective operational responses.
He also underlined the deep-rooted fraternal and strategic relations between the UAE and Jordan, stressing the importance of further strengthening bilateral partnerships to advance mutual interests and enhance regional security and stability.
