New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s vow to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the UN General Assembly is nothing but dangerous political theater from a far-left ideologue.

US Ambassador Mike Waltz correctly called it out: pure grandstanding. Mamdani, who labels Netanyahu a “war criminal,” ignores basic realities:

  • The US is not party to the Rome Statute and rejects ICC jurisdiction.
  • The UN Headquarters Agreement and head-of-state immunity protect visiting leaders.
  • Federal law trumps any mayor’s wishes.

Mamdani has no authority to order the NYPD to detain a foreign head of government. This stunt risks diplomatic chaos, lawsuits, and ridicule while New York faces real crises like crime, housing, and antisemitism.

As a DSA-backed radical who scrapped antisemitism protections, Mamdani prioritizes anti-Israel activism over governing. New Yorkers didn’t elect an amateur international prosecutor. This is ego-driven fantasy, not leadership. Enough.
