In total, 239 individuals, who resided illegally in Cyprus, were repatriated during the last week, from January 19th to 26th, according to the Police.

In a statement by the Police, it is also mentioned that since the beginning of 2024, 814 individuals who resided illegally in Cyprus have been repatriated through forced and voluntary return procedures.

It is added that on Thursday night, 16 foreign nationals departed from Larnaca Airport under the escort of members of the Aliens and Immigration Service, as part of a joint return operation in which the Cyprus Police participates, organized by the French Police under the coordination of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (FRONTEX) for the return of third-country nationals residing illegally in the European Union.
