Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, presided over the Council’s meeting on Tuesday, where a key decision was made to strengthen the emirate’s presence on the regional and international stage.

The Council officially approved a new government media policy aimed at increasing Ajman’s visibility, promoting tourism, and attracting investment.

The initiative is part of a broader effort to position Ajman more competitively among its fellow emirates in the United Arab Emirates.

Ajman is the smallest of the seven emirates that make up the UAE, both in terms of area and population. Nestled between the larger and more internationally known emirates of Dubai and Sharjah, Ajman has historically played a quieter role on the national stage.

However, recent years have seen a push by the emirate’s leadership to redefine its image and take advantage of its unique assets.

With its coastal location on the Arabian Gulf, growing industrial base, and rich cultural heritage, Ajman is increasingly focusing on sustainable development, smart governance, and investment in tourism infrastructure.

Competing in a Crowded Landscape

Compared to Dubai and Abu Dhabi — both global hubs known for their iconic skylines, international events, and massive investment portfolios — Ajman faces challenges in capturing international attention.

However, officials are confident that a more cohesive and strategic media approach will allow the emirate to better highlight its strengths and growth potential.

The new media policy is expected to align government communication efforts, improve Ajman’s brand identity, and leverage digital platforms to reach broader audiences.

Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi has consistently emphasized innovation, transparency, and long-term planning as pillars of Ajman’s development.

The new media strategy reflects this vision, and according to the Council, it will serve as a critical tool to support ongoing efforts in economic diversification, tourism promotion, and investment attraction.

As Ajman continues to define its path within the federation, initiatives like this mark an important step in shaping a modern, outward-facing identity that resonates far beyond the UAE’s borders.
