Ali Rashid Al Mazrouei, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Libya, presented a copy of his credentials to El-Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during an official ceremony at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli.

The UAE Ambassador expressed his pride in assuming his duties in Libya, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in all fields.

He emphasized the importance of deepening dialogue and expanding joint initiatives, particularly at a time when Libya continues to navigate a highly complex political environment marked by institutional divisions, security challenges, and ongoing international mediation efforts.

Despite Libya’s fragmented political landscape—divided between competing administrations and exposed to regional tensions—the meeting underscored both nations’ willingness to pursue constructive cooperation.

The two officials reviewed existing areas of partnership and discussed ways to expand cooperation in sectors such as development, reconstruction, investment, and capacity building, with the aim of advancing the mutual interests of both countries and supporting the aspirations of their peoples.
