The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, met with Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington on Friday. The discussion focused on the situation in Gaza.

Al Thani stated that Qatar is ready to continue mediating between Hamas and Israel for the release of hostages. He also called for the opening of new humanitarian corridors.

It is notable that Qatar funds Hamas and hosts its political office in Doha
