South Africa national football team opened their campaign at the Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-1 victory over Angola national football team on Tuesday at Marrakech Stadium.

The win gives South Africa a perfect start in Group B, securing their first three points of the tournament currently being hosted by Morocco.

Later today, attention in Group B will turn to the clash between Egypt national football team and Zimbabwe national football team, which will conclude the opening round of fixtures in the group.

Meanwhile, in Group A, Zambia national football team and Mali national football team shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca.

Both sides collected one point each, leaving Morocco national football team top of Group A following their 2-0 victory over the Comoros national football team in the tournament’s opening match.

The group-stage action continues as teams battle for early momentum in Africa’s premier football competition.
