Qatar's Prime Minister has issued one of the Gulf's most direct condemnations of Iran's military campaign, demanding an immediate halt to what he called "unjustified Iranian attacks" on Qatar and neighbouring countries.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani delivered the warning during talks with Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos in Doha on Tuesday.

The message was unambiguous: Iran must stop targeting critical infrastructure. Water supplies, food systems, energy facilities, Sheikh Mohammed singled out each one, warning of the consequences of what he called "irresponsible" strikes on assets that millions of lives depend on.

The two ministers also zeroed in on the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow chokepoint through which roughly a fifth of the world's oil flows.

Both sides underlined the non-negotiable nature of freedom of navigation, a signal to Tehran that any move to close or disrupt the strait would cross a red line shared well beyond the Gulf.
