The deal was the result of persistent and decisive mediation efforts led by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States.
President El-Sisi emphasized Egypt's unwavering commitment to peace in the region, highlighting Cairo's crucial role in facilitating dialogue between Israel and Hamas.
Egypt's unique position as a regional power and its longstanding diplomatic channels with Israel were instrumental in brokering the ceasefire. This agreement stands as a testament to Egypt's strategic diplomacy and its ongoing efforts to stabilize the region.
In his official statement, President El-Sisi underscored the urgent need to expedite the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. He stressed that assistance must be provided immediately and without preconditions to address the catastrophic humanitarian conditions affecting millions of civilians in the enclave.
