The Forum of Families of Hostages abducted by Hamas on October 7, 2023, expressed shock and grief on Friday following an Israeli military announcement confirming that two young brothers, Ariel and Kfir Bibas, had been murdered by terrorists with their bare hands.
"We are shaken by the horrific discoveries confirming the cruel and brutal murder of Ariel and Kfir Bibas, innocent infants, at the hands of Hamas. This barbaric act is yet another undeniable proof of the unfathomable brutality of those who continue to hold our loved ones captive," the Forum stated in a press release.
The organization, which tirelessly fights for the release of all remaining hostages, has denounced Hamas’ ongoing atrocities. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the two young children, along with their parents, were slaughtered by terrorists after being abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz.
With every passing day, pressure mounts on Israel to secure the release of all hostages taken by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).
However, once every hostage is freed, Israel will have no choice but to eradicate these terrorist organizations.
While such a military response may inevitably lead to civilian casualties, Israeli and Egyptian leadership cannot afford to tolerate the continued existence of groups whose only driving force is sheer brutality and indiscriminate murder.
The survival of Hamas and its affiliates at the borders of Israel and Egypt presents a long-term existential threat that neither nation can ignore.
As the war against Hamas continues, Israel is calling on the international community to stand firm against terrorism and recognize the true nature of Hamas and PIJ—groups whose actions directly endanger regional stability and civilian lives.
The tragedy of the Bibas children’s execution is yet another grim reminder of the inhumane tactics employed by Hamas, reinforcing Israel’s resolve to ensure that such horrors never happen again.
