Senior Hamas official Bassem Naim told the Qatari newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that "the Houthis' operation to bomb Tel Aviv is a natural result of the Israeli entity's invasion of the entire region."

Islamic Jihad also congratulated the Houthis: "We praise the rockets launched by the Yemeni heroes in the heart of Tel Aviv, which exacerbated the enemy's crises and demonstrated its weakness. The courage shown by the Yemeni people in the face of American arrogance and Zionist tyranny is confirmation of their commitment to support the Palestinian people."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned the Houthi rebels in Yemen on Sunday of potential reprisals after the group claimed responsibility for a missile attack on central Israel.

"This morning, the Houthis launched a surface-to-surface missile from Yemen onto our territory. They should know (...) that we exact a heavy price for any attempt to harm us," Netanyahu said at the beginning of a cabinet meeting, according to a statement from his office.

The missile caused neither damage nor injuries.
