Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in good condition and fully conscious after his prostate surgery ended "successfully," his office said on Sunday.

The Prime Minister’s urinary tract infection (UTI) resulted from the obstruction caused by the enlarged prostate. UTIs in men are often considered more complex and can lead to more severe symptoms, necessitating prompt medical attention. Netanyahu's surgery, known as a prostatectomy, is a standard procedure aimed at resolving the underlying issue and preventing further complications.

"The Prime Minister has now been transferred to a protected underground recovery unit. He is expected to remain in the hospital for observation in the next few days," his office said.
