The police in Jordan arrested dozens of protesters who tried to storm the Israeli Embassy compound in the capital Amman, eyewitnesses told the Reuters news agency, who added that police repelled the angry crowd with batons. 

This incident comes after more than 2,000 protesters gathered Tuesday evening outside the embassy, on the third day of protests against Israel in the Jordanian capital.
