Four Kuwaiti soldiers were wounded Tuesday when an Iranian navy vessel was struck during a barrage of missiles and drones targeting the emirate, which intercepted around 40 projectiles, the army said in a statement.

During what a Defense Ministry spokesman called "the odious Iranian aggression," "a navy vessel was targeted and four members of the armed forces were wounded. They received the necessary medical care," the spokesman said on X, adding that several "vital and civilian facilities" were also hit, causing material damage.

Kuwait's military said it detected and intercepted one ballistic missile, five cruise missiles and 33 drones in Tuesday's attacks. The army also reported facing "hostile drone attacks" overnight into Wednesday. "Any explosions heard are the result of Air Defense systems intercepting these hostile targets," the general staff said on X.

Air raid sirens also sounded in Bahrain, according to the interior ministry.
