Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Sabah is in a stable condition and is still receiving the necessary treatment, state news agency KUNA reported on Wednesday.

The agency reported in the morning that Sheikh Nawaf was hospitalized “due to an emergency health problem,” but added that the Emir was in a stable condition.

The report did not elaborate on the problem faced by 86-year-old Sheikh Nawaf.

Sheikh Nawaf was sworn in as an Emir following the 2020 death of his predecessor, the late Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah.
