Kuwaiti investors drive $19.8 billion in stock exchange activity

Kuwaiti investors accounted for the lion's share of trading activity on the Kuwait Stock Exchange between January and May 2026, according to a report by Al-Shall Consulting Company based on Kuwait Clearing Company data.

Kuwaiti investors accounted for the lion's share of trading activity on the Kuwait Stock Exchange between January and May 2026, according to a report by Al-Shall Consulting Company based on Kuwait Clearing Company data.

Total purchases by Kuwaiti investors reached approximately 6.47 billion Kuwaiti dinars ($19.8 billion), representing 82.6% of all shares purchased. On the selling side, they offloaded shares worth 6.29 billion dinars ($19.3 billion) - 80.3% of total sales - resulting in net purchases of around 173 million dinars.

GCC investors accounted for 1.8% of total sales, up slightly from 1.6% in the same period last year, with transactions valued at approximately 142.7 million dinars ($438 million).
