European aviation giant Lufthansa announced on Wednesday that it will extend its avoidance of Iranian and Iraqi airspace until August 13, amid heightened concerns over escalating tensions in the Middle East. Initially, the suspension was set to end on August 7.
In addition, the German airline group confirmed that it will also prolong the suspension of its flights to several key destinations, including Tel Aviv, Tehran, Beirut, Amman, and Erbil, until August 13.
This decision reflects Lufthansa's commitment to ensuring the safety of its passengers and crew in light of the current geopolitical climate.
