The dialogue between Bourita and Meimou centered on various aspects of the Sahel's challenges, including security, development, and political stability. 

Morocco, known for its active role in African diplomacy, views its engagement with the Sahel Coalition as a strategic priority, aiming to contribute to the region's stability and development. The North African kingdom's approach combines security measures with economic development initiatives, reflecting a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted crises affecting the Sahel.

Morocco's involvement in the Sahel region is not new. 

The kingdom has long been a key player in African politics, leveraging its historical ties, religious leadership, and economic investments to foster partnerships across the continent. Morocco's strategy in the Sahel emphasizes the importance of African solutions to African problems, promoting regional integration and cooperation as essential components of stability and development.

The Coalition for the Sahel is an international initiative aimed at addressing the complex challenges in the Sahel region, including security threats, humanitarian crises, and developmental obstacles. Established with the participation of various countries and international organizations, the Coalition seeks to coordinate efforts across four main pillars: combating terrorism, strengthening military capabilities, supporting state presence and administration, and accelerating development assistance.

The meeting between Morocco's chief diplomat and the Sahel Coalition's high representative signifies a deepening of Morocco's engagement with Sahel security and development issues.
