Jordan's air defense systems intercepted and shot down three Iranian missiles that entered the country's airspace early Friday, a military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army said.

In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the General Command said there were no casualties or material damage. Royal Engineering Corps teams handled the fallen debris across several locations in accordance with approved technical and security protocols, taking all necessary precautions to secure the sites and ensure public safety.

The military stressed it would respond to any breach of Jordanian airspace in line with established rules of engagement, and urged citizens to rely strictly on official sources for information rather than circulating unverified rumors.

Friday's interception is the latest in a string of similar incidents this week, as Jordan finds itself repeatedly caught in the crossfire of the escalating confrontation between the United States, Israel and Iran.

The kingdom shot down four missiles on Tuesday and three more on Wednesday, following an earlier barrage of eight missiles the previous Thursday. The Jordan Armed Forces said they remain on high alert, continuously monitoring the kingdom's airspace and closely tracking regional developments to respond to any potential threat.
