Palestinian president lifts ban on operations of Qatar's Al Jazeera TV inside Palestinian territory

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has lifted on Monday a ban imposed on operations of Qatar's Al Jazeera television in the territory, with the broadcaster set to resume operations on Tuesday, the network's bureau chief in Palestine Walid Omary said.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has lifted on Monday a ban imposed on operations of Qatar's Al Jazeera television in the territory, with the broadcaster set to resume operations on Tuesday, the network's bureau chief in Palestine Walid Omary said.

The decision comes months after Al Jazeera's operations were halted in the Palestinian territories in January over the network's dissemination of "inciting material".
