Israel-Lebanon talks resume in Washington
Israeli and Lebanese ambassadors met Tuesday at the State Department for a fourth round of direct talks, even as fighting between Israel and Hezbollah continued unabated on the ground.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, met on Monday with Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi, FM of Oman, to review bilateral relations and discuss regional and international developments.
The two ministers co-chaired the third meeting of the Saudi–Omani Coordination Council in Muscat, with the participation of committee heads and the Council’s General Secretariat teams. The meeting underscored the commitment of both countries’ leaderships to deepen cooperation and advance shared interests.
Prince Faisal said the session built on the positive outcomes of last year’s meeting in AlUla, stressing the need to accelerate implementation of remaining initiatives.
He highlighted priorities including trade expansion, investment stimulation, stronger public–private cooperation, and the launch of the Council’s electronic platform to improve coordination and follow-up.
Al-Busaidi noted tangible progress across multiple sectors, pointing to growing economic integration, increased intra-trade and joint investments, and deeper cooperation in security, judicial, cultural, and tourism fields. He also emphasized sustained political coordination on regional and global issues.
The meeting reaffirmed both sides’ intent to translate strategic alignment into practical results for mutual prosperity.
