The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s delegation, headed by President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej has concluded its participation in the third International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Conference on Aviation and Alternative Fuels (CAAF/3), which was held in Dubai, UAE from November 20 to 24.
 

The Saudi delegation highlighted the Kingdom’s leading efforts in environmental protection, demonstrated through active engagement within various organizations such as ICAO, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, and other relevant initiatives like the Circular Carbon Economy and the Saudi and Middle East Green Initiatives.
 

During the conference, the delegation presented a working paper emphasizing the necessity of embracing fundamental principles to establish a global framework for the development and dissemination of 'sustainable aviation fuels' and 'low-carbon aviation fuels.' This also included advocating for cleaner energy sources in aviation and the implementation of inclusive, unbiased policies that do not favor specific energy sources, technologies, or fuels.
 

Additionally, the delegation conducted individual meetings with participating delegations from the US, UK, China, Canada, Spain, India, Brazil, Nigeria, and Ethiopia. These discussions centered on fostering cooperation in aviation, exploring investment opportunities, and addressing various mutual concern
