Sharjah International Airport has announced it is fully prepared to handle an expected increase in passenger traffic during the winter holiday period, following the introduction of several operational measures aimed at improving passenger flow and maintaining service standards.

Airport authorities confirmed that additional resources have been deployed across key operational areas, including check-in, security screening, immigration and baggage handling. These measures are designed to minimise waiting times and ensure a smooth travel experience during one of the busiest periods of the year.

Travellers departing from Sharjah have been advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their scheduled departure to allow sufficient time for check-in and security procedures.

Sharjah International Airport serves as a major regional hub, with a wide range of airlines connecting the emirate to destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe.

The main carriers operating at the airport include: Air Arabia (home carrier and primary operator), EgyptAir, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, Iraqi Airways

With its growing network and strong presence of low-cost and regional carriers, Sharjah Airport continues to play a key role in supporting affordable travel and regional connectivity.
