The rainfall was observed between 9 a.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday, affecting areas including Makkah, Madinah, Qassim, Aseer, Tabuk, Jazan, Najran, and Al-Baha.

The Madinah airport received a significant amount of rain, registering 35.2 millimeters, while the area around Haram recorded 27.6 millimeters. In the Makkah region, Yalamlam and Al-Leith saw 17.4 millimeters of rainfall, with Al-Leith Dam receiving 8 millimeters.

In response to the heavy rainfall, the Directorate General of Civil Defense issued a public safety warning, advising citizens and residents to avoid swimming in areas where water has accumulated and to refrain from crossing valleys, which can be hazardous after rainfall.

The Civil Defense also urged the public to stay informed by following safety instructions provided through media channels and social media platforms.

This advisory comes as part of ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and prevent accidents during periods of intense rainfall and potential flooding.
