The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture has reported substantial rainfall across eight regions of Saudi Arabia, with the National Center for Meteorology recording the highest rainfall in the Madinah region at 37.4 millimeters.

The rainfall was observed between 9 a.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday, affecting areas including Makkah, Madinah, Qassim, Aseer, Tabuk, Jazan, Najran, and Al-Baha.

The Madinah airport received a significant amount of rain, registering 35.2 millimeters, while the area around Haram recorded 27.6 millimeters. In the Makkah region, Yalamlam and Al-Leith saw 17.4 millimeters of rainfall, with Al-Leith Dam receiving 8 millimeters.

Other regions also experienced varying levels of precipitation, with Qassim's Uqlat Al Saqoor recording 1.8 millimeters and Al-Baha’s Bilkhazmar and Al Mandaq receiving 28.6 millimeters.

In response to the heavy rainfall, the Directorate General of Civil Defense issued a public safety warning, advising citizens and residents to avoid swimming in areas where water has accumulated and to refrain from crossing valleys, which can be hazardous after rainfall.

The Civil Defense also urged the public to stay informed by following safety instructions provided through media channels and social media platforms.

This advisory comes as part of ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and prevent accidents during periods of intense rainfall and potential flooding.
