Palestinian club Jabal Al Moukaber has withdrawn from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup due to the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.

The AFC, based in Kuala Lumpur, received notification from the Palestinian Football Association about Jabal Al Moukaber's decision to exit the second-tier club competition.

The AFC expressed regret, and the matter has been referred to the AFC Competitions Committee to take necessary actions, including recognizing a case of force majeure.

Jabal Al Moukaber had been in Group A, winning their first match 1-0 against Syria's Al-Foutouwa but losing 4-0 to Oman's Al-Nahda before the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7.

The withdrawal nullifies all of Jabal Al Moukaber's results in accordance with AFC tournament regulations.

This is the latest withdrawal affecting Palestinian teams due to the conflict.

Last month, the Palestinian national team's World Cup qualification match against Australia was moved to Kuwait for security reasons.
