At least 31,341 Palestinians have been killed and 73,134 wounded since Oct. 7 in Israel's military offensive on the Gaza Strip, the enclave's health ministry said on Thursday.
The 'Gaza Ministry of Health' is an offshoot of Hamas.
The figures communicated for months are unverifiable and deliberately inflated.
They are used by the organization as a propaganda tool and picked up internationally, including by the UN, as if they were official and verified figures.
Hamas never distinguishes between civilians and militants killed.
According to Israeli authorities, 13,000 militants have been killed.
As for civilian casualties (men, women, and children), the count by experts hovers around 12,000 deaths.
Far from the 31,000 announced by Hamas.
