Three foreign tourists, two women, and one man, were assaulted with a bladed weapon on Thursday along the Agadir beachfront in Morocco by an individual who fled by swimming, as reported by Maroc Hebdo.

Three foreign tourists, two women, and one man, were assaulted with a bladed weapon on Thursday along the Agadir beachfront in Morocco by an individual who fled by swimming, as reported by Maroc Hebdo.

The three victims were transferred to the emergency department at the Hassan II Regional Hospital in Agadir. Meanwhile, the assailant was apprehended by the Royal Navy.

According to authoritative sources, the 33-year-old assailant, who had been sentenced to prison in 2020 in connection with a drug trafficking case, has been detained as part of the investigation to determine the motives behind the attack.

The victims comprise a British couple and a Belgian individual.

At this stage, a terrorist attack is not being considered as the cause.
