The U.S. military has confirmed the arrival of F-15 fighter jets in the Middle East on Thursday, marking a significant step in Washington’s recent bolstering of its military presence in the region.
This deployment comes a week after the Pentagon announced plans to send additional military assets to the area as a warning to Iran.
The U.S. Air Force stated that the F-15 aircraft, normally based in England, have been deployed to the Central Command (Centcom) area of responsibility, which covers the Middle East. The exact number of aircraft involved in the deployment has not been disclosed.
This move is part of a broader strategy by the U.S. Department of Defense, which last week announced plans to send bombers, fighter jets, refueling aircraft, and air defense ships to the region. The goal is to enhance military readiness and to deter potential threats from Iran and its affiliates.
Pentagon's Warning to Iran
The Pentagon issued a strong statement accompanying the deployment, warning Iran and its proxies against any hostile actions targeting U.S. personnel or interests in the Middle East.
"If Iran, its partners, or its affiliated groups take advantage of this moment to target U.S. personnel or interests in the region, the United States will take all necessary measures to defend itself," the Pentagon said.
This warning underscores the heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, as the U.S. aims to prevent any escalation in a region already marked by instability.

War simplifies and clarifies everything. When one’s own life or the very survival of family, friends and country is at stake, one learns to think quick and to act straight, to sweep away routine, clichés, and dead paradigms - and stick to fundamentals.
Iran and the United States are sliding rapidly towards military conflict as hopes fade for a diplomatic solution to their standoff over Tehran’s nuclear programme, officials on both sides and diplomats across the Gulf and Europe say.
