UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a telephone conversation today with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, focusing on the deep-rooted fraternal relations and cooperation between the two nations.
During the call, the two leaders reviewed ways to further strengthen bilateral ties in a manner that serves their mutual interests and contributes to the prosperity and wellbeing of their peoples.
They also discussed a range of regional and international issues of mutual concern, with particular attention to developments in the Middle East and the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
Both leaders reaffirmed their support for the Palestinian people and emphasized the importance of international efforts to preserve and advance the two-state solution as the only viable path toward a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
The conversation also included an exchange of greetings on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday, with Sheikh Mohamed and Sultan Haitham expressing their hope that the blessed occasion brings peace and stability to the Islamic world and to all humanity.
