The GCC leaders also emphasized the preservation of the security and stability of Morocco as well as the unity of its territories.

The leaders reiterated their position in the conclusion statement of the 44th GCC Summit taking part in Doha.

The statement also praised Security Council Resolution 2703 issued on October 30, regarding the Sahara.

The resolution renewed the mandate of MINURSO for one year until the end of October 2024, while emphasizing the importance of the Autonomy Plan as a credible and serious solution to the dispute.

The council’s summit also served as an opportunity for the GCC leaders to stress the importance of the strategic partnership between the Cooperation Council and Morocco.
