Yusra Mardini, the Syrian Olympic swimmer turned global ambassador for refugee rights, has added another illustrious brand collaboration to her expanding portfolio, partnering with the iconic Italian luxury fashion house, Prada.

Known for her powerful story of perseverance and triumph, Mardini continues to leverage her growing platform to champion causes close to her heart while aligning with prestigious brands.

This week, Mardini revealed her latest collaboration with Prada on Instagram, showcasing the brand's environmentally conscious Re-Nylon Bag in a unique brownish-green hue. Accompanying the bag, she donned a chic black Prada top with a short sleeve and hood design.

Mardini highlighted the sustainability aspect of the collaboration in her post, noting, “Prada’s Re-Nylon is regenerated nylon created through the recycling and purification of plastic collected from the ocean.” This partnership not only marks a significant moment in her career but also aligns with her advocacy for environmental conservation.

Mardini's journey from a war-torn country to the Olympic stage and now the fashion world is nothing short of remarkable. Her escape from Syria alongside her sister Sarah, a journey fraught with peril and hope, inspired the BAFTA-nominated Netflix film "The Swimmers."

Her story has made her an influential figure in sports and beyond, leading to collaborations with major brands like Boss and Oris.

In September 2023, Mardini graced the Boss runway at Milan Fashion Week, showcasing her versatility and elegance in fashion.

Walking alongside renowned models and personalities, she embodied the brand's sophisticated aesthetic. Her appearance on Boss' runway in Miami earlier that year further cemented her status as a rising star in fashion, participating in a digital campaign alongside Arab and international celebrities.

Beyond the glitz and glamour, Mardini's commitment to humanitarian causes remains steadfast. Competing in the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics as part of the Refugee Olympic Athletes Team, she has since shifted her focus towards her foundation.

Established in 2023, the Yusra Mardini Foundation aims to empower refugees through education and sports, providing support and advocacy for refugee communities worldwide.

Yusra Mardini's collaboration with Prada is more than a fashion statement; it's a testament to her multifaceted identity as an athlete, activist, and fashion icon.

Through her platform, she continues to inspire and make a tangible difference in the lives of refugees, proving that resilience and determination can pave the way for extraordinary achievements.
