The Palestinian Hamas 'government' announced on Tuesday that Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip had killed 20,000 people since the war began on October 7.
At least 8,000 children and 6,200 women were among the dead, the Hamas government’s press service in power in Gaza said in a statement, adding that 52,600 people had been injured.
It is impossible to verify these figures because it is not a Health ministry, but an Islamist organization whose propaganda and dissemination of false information are part of an overall strategy.
No one knows the exact number of casualties, which should be around 6,000, including many militiamen belonging to the extremist organizations operating in Gaza.
