A Berlin court has sentenced four members of the Hamas terrorist movement to between four and six years in prison for establishing a logistics network intended to carry out attacks against Jewish and Israeli targets across Europe.

The four defendants - two Lebanese-born men, an Egyptian national, and a Dutch citizen - were arrested in December 2023 and stood trial from February 2025 under heavy security. Aged between 34 and 57, they were convicted of membership in a foreign terrorist organization, among other offenses. One of them, aged 43, received additional charges including use of weapons of war and illegal firearms possession.

Prosecutors had sought sentences of five to seven years. The court handed down slightly lighter terms, but the verdict sends a clear message: Europe will not tolerate Hamas infrastructure on its soil.
