The body of Hashem Safieddine, who was slated to replace slain Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and was targeted in an Israeli attack on the Dahieh earlier this month, was found.

Israel said he was killed in the strike but his body was not retrieved from the rubble since the October 5 strike.

"We have reached Nasrallah, his successor, and the majority of Hezbollah's leaders," said Avichay Adraee, the Arabic-speaking spokesperson for the Israeli army, on Tuesday evening.
