UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron, speaking from Riyadh at the conclusion of the World Economy Forum, announced a "generous offer" for a 40-day ceasefire in Gaza.

This proposal includes the release of hostages in exchange for the freedom of thousands of Palestinian prisoners.

Cameron expressed hope that Hamas would agree to the current proposal before them. He also voiced concerns about the feasibility of a political resolution if the Hamas leadership and those responsible for the October 7 attacks do not vacate Gaza.
