Israeli airline El Al announced on Monday that it will suspend its flights to Moscow, Russia’s capital, until the end of March 2025.

The airline cited "updated situation assessments" as the reason behind this decision, reflecting growing concerns over safety in the region.

Flying over Russian territory has become increasingly hazardous due to heightened military aggression following the destruction of an Embraer aircraft.

This incident has amplified safety concerns for airlines operating in and around Russian airspace, prompting El Al to implement precautionary measures to protect its passengers and crew.

The suspension of flights to Moscow highlights the complex challenges faced by airlines navigating geopolitical tensions and military activities.

As conflict-prone areas become riskier, airlines like El Al are prioritizing passenger safety over maintaining regular operations, reflecting a broader trend in the aviation industry.
