Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Aguila Saleh, Speaker of Libya’s House of Representatives, to reaffirm Egypt’s unwavering support for Libya’s sovereignty, unity, and national institutions.

The two leaders discussed recent developments in Libya, with El-Sisi emphasizing the urgency of a unified political process leading to concurrent presidential and parliamentary elections. He reiterated Egypt’s belief that Libya’s stability is crucial to Egypt’s own national security.

El-Sisi also called for the withdrawal of all foreign forces from Libya and expressed Egypt’s interest in supporting Libya’s reconstruction and development, offering Egyptian expertise to aid the process.

Saleh praised Egypt’s steadfast support, describing it as essential for guiding Libya toward security, institutional unity, and democratic transition.
