Hamas on Monday expressed its "deepest condolences and solidarity" to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Iranian government and the Iranian people following the deaths of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a helicopter crash.
In its statement, Hamas praised the deceased Iranian leaders for their steadfast support of the Palestinian cause and resistance against Israel.
The terrorist group also expressed confidence that Iran's "deep-rooted institutions" will enable the country to overcome "the repercussions of this great loss."

Palestinian terrorist group Hamas has released the last surviving hostages it was holding in Gaza, in exchange for almost 2,000 Palestinian detainees and prisoners, under the terms of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire.
The International Committee of the Red Cross said on Tuesday that it will take time to hand over the remains of hostages and detainees killed in the Israel-Hamas war, calling it a "massive challenge" given the difficulties of finding bodies amid Gaza's rubble.
