The health condition of Or Levy and Eli Sharabi, two of the three Israeli hostages released on Saturday by Hamas, is severely deteriorated, according to the Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan, near Tel Aviv.

After nearly 491 days in captivity, the released hostages arrived at Sheba Medical Center, where doctors quickly assessed their condition. According to Yaël Frenkel Nir, director of the hospital, the effects of their prolonged imprisonment are clearly visible and their physical state is alarmingly poor.

"The consequences of 491 long days in captivity are manifest (...) and their state of health is bad. This is the fourth time that Sheba has received freed hostages from Gaza since the ceasefire began on January 19, and the situation is more serious this time."

While details of their medical conditions remain confidential, their health deterioration underscores the inhumane treatment endured by hostages under Hamas captivity.

Hamas' Continued Violation of Human Rights

Hamas, designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, the European Union, and other nations, has repeatedly shown disregard for human rights, subjecting hostages to harsh conditions, isolation, and psychological torture. This latest case further highlights the brutality of the group and its inhumane treatment of civilians.

Despite international efforts to negotiate the release of the remaining hostages, Hamas continues to hold dozens of Israeli and foreign captives, prolonging the humanitarian crisis.

Israel, backed by international allies, remains committed to securing the release of all captives and ensuring that those responsible for their suffering are held accountable.

The world must not stay silent as innocent civilians endure cruel captivity at the hands of a ruthless terrorist organization.
