Luxury hotel operator Dorchester Collection this week welcomed its first dining and overnight guests at its latest establishment in Dubai, The Lana.

Designed by Dubai’s architecture firm Foster + Partners, the 30-storey building has 225 rooms and suites, complemented by eight dining experiences, which include chefs Jean Imbert, Martin Berasategui, and pastry chef Angelo Musa.

The Lana’s interiors were designed by Parisian duo Gilles & Boissier and include 50 pieces of art created by local and global creatives.

The Lana is set to house the inaugural Dior Spa in the UAE, scheduled to open in April 2024.

The hotel is located on the Marasi Bay marina, near downtown Dubai, and overlooks Burj Khalifa.

The Lana is the 10th Dorchester Collection hotel and is the first new opening for the group in more than a decade.

Besides The Lana, Dorchester Collection owns and manages nine luxury five star hotels: The Dorchester (London), The Beverly Hills Hotel (Beverly Hills), Plaza Athénée (Paris), Hotel Meurice (Paris), Principe di Savoia (Milan), Hotel Bel-Air (Los Angeles), Coworth Park (southwest of London), 45 Park Lane (London) and Hotel Eden (Rome).

Dorchester Collection President Christopher Cowdray said in a statement: “As Dorchester Collection welcomes its first guests in the Middle East, we are entering a new era in our company history.

“The Lana is one of the year’s most anticipated hotel openings, and we are certain it will be celebrated for its remarkable design, superb location in one of the world’s most vibrant cities and a dining scene that will undoubtedly attract much local and international attention.”
