Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi may have been killed in a targeted operation, according to multiple sources in Tehran, Mena Today has learned.

The information has not yet been officially confirmed by Iranian authorities.

According to the same sources, Araqchi was not at his office or his private residence at the time of the strike. He is said to have been at what appeared to be a protected site, suggesting a level of intelligence penetration that would represent a significant operational achievement for whoever carried out the strike.

The location and nature of the site have not been disclosed.

Araqchi was the face of Iran's nuclear negotiations, the man who sat across the table in Geneva just days ago, urging Washington to avoid "excessive demands."

He would now be silent.

It should be stressed that no official Iranian source has confirmed or denied the reports at this stage. State media has not issued any statement. The information remains unverified and should be treated with appropriate caution.

Mena Today is working to verify this information.
