Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf thanked Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri on Saturday for his role in securing the Lebanon cease-fire, saying Iran remains committed to supporting Lebanon and its "resistance."

Ghalibaf also attributed rebel activities in Syria to "the goals of the Zionist entity."

Berri responded by crediting Iran’s critical role in assisting Lebanon, describing Israel as a “ravenous beast” threatening the region.
