An Israeli delegation is expected to arrive in Cairo in the coming days for discussions on the early stages of a potential temporary truce in Gaza, 

While progress has been made in negotiations between Egypt and Hamas, unresolved issues remain, particularly concerning the release of Palestinian prisoners.

An Egyptian source said, "Cairo anticipates a breakthrough soon, though Israel may have 'surprises' in store."
