Dr. Rafa Halabi, a prominent member of Israel’s Druze community and an advocate for peace, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Donald J. Trump on his return to the presidency of the United States.
In an open message, Dr. Halabi expressed profound respect for President Trump’s leadership and his dedication to international peace, democracy, and the humanitarian needs of people around the world.
Halabi emphasized the importance of maintaining the balance of power to ensure the survival of the State of Israel as a free, democratic, and Jewish state. He highlighted the principles of equality, liberty, and fraternity, which he believes are central to the co-existence of all Israelis, regardless of their origins or backgrounds.
“The balance of power must be maintained so that our State of Israel will continue to exist, as a free and democratic Jewish state forever, in freedom and in the shadow of equality, liberty, and fraternity among all Israelis,” he stated.
Reflecting on the struggles faced by the Druze community in Syria and the broader Middle East, Dr. Halabi urged President Trump to continue his firm stance against terrorist organizations fueled by religious extremism. He pointed to the devastation caused by decades of conflict in the region, which he attributed to longstanding cultural and political dynamics, and called for a renewed focus on peace and stability.
“It is not possible to fight all the peoples around the world all their lives, because then they destroy it without justification. Our world must be preserved, because we live like people sailing in a submarine under the sea. We must act according to real principles, so that we do not destroy the submarine and continue to live in it,” he remarked metaphorically.
Hope for a Renewed Commitment to Democracy and Peace
Dr. Halabi expressed hope that President Trump’s leadership would bring sanity and stability back to the world stage. He praised the ideals of democracy, freedom, and equality, which he believes the United States has long championed, and urged President Trump to restore these principles globally.
“We place many hopes in you that you will succeed in saving our enlightened world, the world of light, from the uncompromising warriors of darkness who understand only the language of power, death, and blood,” Dr. Halabi wrote.
The letter included a heartfelt plea for decisive action against the forces of darkness, emphasizing the stark contrast between those who sanctify life and those who sanctify death. Dr. Halabi expressed hope that President Trump would act quickly and effectively to diminish the threats posed by extremists, ensuring a future of peace and progress.
“May there be peace, Brother, strong and courageous Brother... By your side forever. With faithful brotherly wishes,” Dr. Halabi concluded, pledging his support for President Trump’s leadership and vision.
Dr. Halabi’s message reflects a deep commitment to building a better, renewed, and civilized society where peace and cooperation prevail. His call for unity, mutual respect, and decisive leadership resonates as a reminder of the shared responsibility to protect and promote the values that bind nations and communities together.
This heartfelt message from Dr. Rafa Halabi, a steadfast advocate for peace, underscores the aspirations of many who look to global leaders like President Trump to steer the world toward a brighter and more harmonious future.
