Lebanon's Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Saturday toured Southern Lebanon's border with Israel.
He claimed his army was deployed in the area and that the threats made against his country were psychological warfare but would be overcome and permanent stability on the Lebanon-Israel frontier would be agreed.
The Lebanese army has never been able to secure the border as the region is fully controlled by the pro-Iranian Hezbollah.
This contradicts UN Resolution 1701, which mandates the Shia militia to withdraw 30 kilometers from the border.
Despite his best efforts, Prime Minister Najib Mikati cannot enforce this withdrawal due to Iran's influence over Lebanon.
Since October 8, Hezbollah has been attacking Israeli territory, prompting retaliations.
Jerusalem has expressed support for a diplomatic resolution to reduce border tensions, but Hezbollah does not seem inclined towards this.
Continued provocations by Hezbollah could lead to a large-scale Israeli military operation in southern Lebanon.
