Morocco's economic progress highlighted in talks with World Bank VP

Moroccan Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, engaged in discussions in Rabat on Monday with Ferid Belhaj, Vice President for the MENA region at the World Bank, who was on a working visit to Morocco from February 18-21.

During the meeting, Fettah and Belhaj lauded the productive cooperation between Morocco and the World Bank Group, particularly emphasizing the quality of reform and investment programs that have benefited from the Bank's technical and financial assistance.

They also acknowledged the Bank's consistent support for the economic and social development initiatives undertaken by the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as stated by the Ministry of Economy and Finance on its website.

The meeting served as an occasion for Fettah to express gratitude to Belhaj, who is concluding his term as Vice President for the MENA region at the World Bank, for his personal dedication and ongoing efforts to strengthen the financial and institutional cooperation between Morocco and the World Bank, as noted by the same source.

In response, Belhaj commended the quality and relevance of cooperation projects between the World Bank and Morocco, while praising the constructive collaboration spirit that has consistently characterized the Bank's relations with its Moroccan partners.
